Rockland Trust is now offering mobile banking services for its customers.
Customers will be able to check balances, track account activity, search transactions and set up alerts for text or e-mail messages for changes in their account, according to a statement. They will also be able to transfer funds between Rockland Trust accounts and identify the nearest branch or ATM.
Rockland Trust will also allow its mobile banking users to deposit a check into their account directly from their mobile device with "mDeposit," a free application. The app uses the mobile device’s camera to scan and deposit the check.
"Rockland Trust is proud to be one of the first banks in New England to offer a mobile check deposit service," said Christopher Oddleifson, president and CEO, Rockland Trust. "It speaks to our commitment to bringing leading-edge banking technology to our customers."
