Rockland Trust has provided financing to Greentown Labs, a Somerville-based cleantech incubator. The amount of the financing was not disclosed.

"Greentown Labs is an innovative enterprise that is nurturing the next generation of clean technology companies," Brian Slater, vice president of commercial lending at Rockland Trust, said in a statement. "We understand the importance of providing an environment where startups can develop and grow. It’s exciting to help Greentown Labs expand and encourage more innovation."

Greentown Labs provides start-up businesses with space and equipment needed to help develop their ideas. Its Somerville location includes 33,000 square feet of prototyping lab and co-located office space, a shared machine and electronics shop and on-site events and programs to help start-ups to grow their networks.
