Kay Rodgers of Auburndale has received The Village Bank’s service excellence award.
Rodgers, a senior teller, has been with The Village Bank since 1997, and works at the main office in Auburndale.
"Kay is described by our customers and her managers as efficient, thorough, and extremely pleasant," said Kenneth C. Brennan, president and CEO of The Village Bank. "She has a very loyal customer base in Auburndale and, as one customer told us, Kay creates trust in The Village Bank because of her personality and excellent customer service."
Customers and co-workers nominate workers for the award, which is traditionally granted to an employee who consistently goes above and beyond to provide superior customer service, and who demonstrates a strong commitment to the values held by The Village Bank, according to a statement.
Before joining The Village Bank, Rodgers held administrative positions with Equifax Service and Norian-Siani Engineering Co. She was also a library assistant at Lasell College Library. She is a graduate of Michigan State University in East Lansing, Mich.
A member of the Corpus Christi-St. Bernard Parish in Newton, she is a member of the choir and the parish guild. She was chairperson of the Corpus Christi St. Bernard Parish 2009 CROP Walk, and serves as a member of the Social Justice and Outreach Commission.
