Rollstone Bank & Trust recently donated $5,000 to the Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts, which helps 33 cities and towns in the area.

The foundation is a nonprofit organization that was created out of a small group of individuals looking at ways to further build overall charitable giving. The foundation said it provides donors with a great deal of flexibility while maximizing tax advantages.

"It is our goal, through our donation, to help the Community Foundation continue its important work of creating permanent endowments that will benefit the community today and well into the future," said Marty Connors, president and CEO of Rollstone Bank & Trust.
