Richard L. Rowe Jr.Richard L. Rowe Jr., CPA, president and COO of Scituate Federal Savings Bank of Marshfield, and professor at The New England College of Business and Finance, was named the recipient of the 2012 ECA Excellence in Teaching Award for New England College of Business and Finance (NECB).

Rowe has taught accounting courses since 1975 and is a two-time recipient of the NECB Outstanding Faculty of the Year Award.

The ECA Excellence in Teaching Award recognizes and rewards instructors who have demonstrated innovation and excellence in teaching. The award is open to any nominated program director or full-time, part-time or adjunct instructor from schools affiliated with Education Corporation of America (ECA).

In his capacity as president and COO of Scituate Federal Savings Bank, Rowe is responsible for managing all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the bank and is also a member of the senior management committee and serves as treasurer of the mutual holding company. Rowe is a certified public accountant and holds a masters’ degree in business administration from Long Island University.
