The Bellevue, Wash.-based fixed income interdealer broker firm, RW Smith & Assoc., has opened its first Boston-area office.

Located at 160 Old Derby St. in Hingham, the office will serve as the company’s base of operations for the Northeast region and will be headed by Brian Campbell, who joins RW Smith from Alta Capital Group. Also joining RW Smith in the new office are Joseph Blood and Michael Lovering.

Prior to joining RW Smith as senior vice president – regional manager for the Northeast, Campbell was managing director of institutional trading with Alta Capital Group.

Previously, he worked for Fidelity Investments, capital markets, as vice president and manager of the Boston municipal trading desk, and as vice president institutional trading.

Blood brings 26 years’ experience in the financial industry to his new role of vice president at RW Smith.

Lovering will assume the role of vice president. From 1995-2008, he worked for Fidelity Investments, most recently as capital markets fixed income sales liaison.
