The American Bankers Association has elected Dorothy A. Savarese, chairman, president and CEO of Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank, to serve as vice chairman of its board of directors.
Cape Cod Five first announced that Savarese has been nominated for the ABA board in July. Yesterday she attended the ABA’s annual convention in Dallas, along with the other officers and directors who will serve on the board for the 2014-2015 association year, to officially begin her service.
Savarese became president and CEO of Cape Cod Five in 2005. She also serves as chairman of the board of directors and executive committee of the Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank and chairman of the Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank Charitable Foundation Trust. She is involved with the FDIC Advisory Committee on Community Banking, the board of trustees of Cape Cod Community College, and the boards of Gosnold on Cape Cod and The Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce.
