Newton real estate investment trust Senior Housing Properties Trust has reported $67.9 million in normalized funds from operations (normalized FFO) for the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2011, up from $57.2 million for the same period last year.
Net income was $38.6 million for the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2011, compared to $33.9 million in net income for the same period in 2010. Net income for the quarter includes a non-cash impairment of assets charge of approximately $796,000 related to one property.
In all of 2011, normalized FFO was $258 million, compared to $218.8 million in normalized FFO in 2010.
For the whole year, the company reported $151.4 million in net income, compared to $116.5 million in net income in 2010.
