Wellesley-based Benchmark Senior Living marked the opening of its 50th property, Benchmark Senior Living at Split Rock in Shelton, Conn., during a grand opening ceremony this week.

The $25 million project will include 92 apartments, consisting of 72 traditional assisted-living units and 20 memory care units.

The property, located at 708A Bridgeport Ave., is expected to achieve a gold building rating under the LEED certification program.

Benchmark Senior Living’s properties are located in all six New England states.
