Shanahan Joins Northern Bank & Trust Co.’s Mortgage Team

Robert L. Shanahan Jr. has joined the mortgage team at Woburn’s Northern Bank as an assistant vice president and residential loan officer.

Shanahan’s 25-year background in the industry includes recent experience as a residential loan officer with Eastern Bank/Wainwright Bank & Trust Co. Previously, he served as president of NextHome Mortgage Co. of Boston and Needham, a business he founded in 1999 and managed through its growth for nearly a decade.

A Newton resident, Shanahan earned a bachelor¹s degree in business and marketing from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst.
