Joseph BreenSkanska USA’s building business unit in Boston has hired Joseph Breen as senior vice president.

In his new role at Skanska, Breen will utilize his 25 years of experience in construction to provide expertise and assistance with Skanska’s projects in the New England area. His responsibilities include overseeing all of the construction management aspects of each job, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget and through the most sustainable means.

"Joe brings a wealth of experience to our office, particularly in the healthcare and higher education sectors," said Paul Hewins, general manager and executive vice president for Skanska’s New England office. "His vast expertise and proven track record for successfully delivering complex projects will provide our clients with the highest quality of service. Joe will also be integral to our new business efforts as we pursue additional projects throughout the region. We look forward to having him join our growing Skanska team."

Prior to joining Skanska, Breen served as senior vice president for Walsh Brothers, where he was responsible for business development and executive project oversight with clientele for higher education and healthcare facilities including the Dana Farber Cancer Institute’s, Yawkey Center, a LEED Gold certified project that earned the Build America Award from the national Associated General Contractors of America.
