Boston Properties is close to penning a roughly 100,000-square-foot lease with New York Life at the company’s office property at 201 Jones Road in Waltham.
New York Life currently occupies about 65,000 square feet at 800 South St. in Waltham, a building owned by New Boston Fund.
According to industry sources that wished to remain anonymous, the firm will likely pay between $30 and $33 a square-foot, which represents the uppermost price range for Class A properties in Waltham.
"The deal is pending," said an industry executive familiar with the deal. "If it hasn’t signed yet, it’s going to be soon."
