South Shore Bank announced that James M. Dunphy will succeed John C. Boucher as president and CEO, effective today.
Additionally, the bank announced that Pamela J. O’Leary was promoted to executive vice president, chief operating officer and chief technology officer.
Boucher, who had been president and CEO since 2007, is retiring after almost 42 years with the bank.
Dunphy joined South Shore Bank as executive vice president in January 2014. Previously, he worked as the president and CEO of Hampshire First Bank from 2006 to 2012. Dunphy, who is a certified public accountant and certified management account, began his career in 1987 as a tax preparer at Kennedy and Lehan CPAs in Quincy and he later became a manager at Grant Thornton in 1989. In 1997, he joined Granite Bank as administrative vice president and controller, and was promoted to senior vice president in 2000.
O’Leary joined South Shore Bank as senior vice president and chief information officer in 2004, following 17 years of IT and banking experience in positions of increasing responsibility. In 2013 she was promoted to executive vice president and chief information officer.
