The South Shore YMCA has leased 30,000 square feet at 1075 Washington St. in Hanover.

The building underwent a major renovation in 2008. The lot consists of 6.25 acres of land and has parking for 260 cars, according to a statement.

"We are extremely happy to have found such a strong tenant for the building," said Robert S. Conrad, president of The Conrad Group. "The Hanover Branch of the South Shore YMCA is a one-of-a-kind facility offering amenities rarely found in athletic clubs locally. This property allows them to continue to grow in order to accommodate their ever increasing membership."

The YMCA is planning to make interior modifications to the building before opening in the fall.

The Conrad Group Inc. negotiated the long-term lease on behalf of the International Church of The Foursquare Gospel. Conrad was assisted by Jim McEvoy, senior vice president of The Conrad Group, who represented both sides in the transaction.
