Ted Perkins has joined Citizens Bank as a mortgage loan officer in its Woburn office.

Perkins, of Nashua, N.H., has been in the mortgage business for 15 years. He came to Citizens from Sovereign Bank, where he was a loan officer.

He originates conventional and government mortgage programs, including jumbo loans and financing for new construction, according to a statement.

"Citizens Bank is committed to the mortgage business and, specifically, to growing our home financing operation in the Massachusetts market and throughout our retail banking geography," said Ellen Steinfeld, senior vice president in the bank’s home lending solutions division.
