The former Sparks department store property in Malden Center has been sold for $2 million to a new owner who is marketing it as a retail or development site.
The one-third acre parcel contains a 31,360-square-foot retail and office building located two blocks from the Malden Center station on the MBTA’s Orange Line.
Sparks closed this year after nearly a century doing business in Malden’s downtown business district.
Neil Denenberg of Boston-based Denenberg Realty Advisors represented both the buyer, 86 Pleasant LLP of Weston, and the seller, 90 Pleasant St. LP.
