Boston Mayor Thomas Menino is expected to join Gov. Deval Patrick in Charlestown this evening for a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital.
According to a statement from the mayor’s office, the project is expected to provide more than 300 construction jobs.
Spaulding has committed to extensive environmental clean-up of the Charlestown Navy Yard site, located on First Avenue on the currently vacant Parcel 5.
