A major regional operator of filling stations and convenience stores has bought a 17-property, Springfield area convenience store and car wash portfolio.
Nouria Energy Corp., which lists 118 locations on its website for Hartford, Connecticut, to Waterville, Maine in addition to the 17 it bought on Dec. 24, acquired the portfolio for $38.5 million.
Citizens Bank provided a $241 million mortgage to Nouria on many of the properties involved.
The seller was F.L. Roberts, which operated 24 locations branded under its own name or that of Sunoco in and around Springfield, plus one station in Hartford.
The deal came days after Nouria bought a five-station portfolio in Southeastern Massachusetts from New England Farms.
“The acquisition enhances our business profile with added revenue and profit streams backed by strong c-store and carwash operations,” Nouria President and CEO Tony El-Nemr said in a statement about the New England Farms deal.
