Brian StewartMiddlesex Savings Bank has elected Brian Stewart as the bank’s chief financial officer and treasurer.

Stewart will be in charge of the bank’s financial reporting, asset and liability management, budgeting, forecasting and wholesale funding. He will also continue to manage the bank’s $1.5 billion investment portfolio and will remain chair of the asset/liability management and pricing committees.

Stewart joined Middlesex Savings Bank in 1996 as senior vice president responsible for investment management. He became executive vice president in 2008. Previously, Stewart was a senior vice president of BayBank in Boston.

Stewart holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts and a master’s degree in finance from Bentley University.
