David Stone, a senior designer at Boston’s NELSON Black Cow, has been re-appointed to a second, two-year term as a member of the Green Building Certification Institute’s (GBCI) credentialing steering committee.
The committee supports the GBCI’s board of directors by monitoring, reviewing and overseeing the development, implementation and evaluation of existing and future credentialing and professional certification programs under GBCI.
Stone will represent the interests of LEED accredited professionals with a specialty designation in interior design and construction (LEED AP ID+C). Others represent the various rating systems and design professions (engineering, water resource technologies, community development, architecture and building owners), and come from firms that work with government agencies (including the Pentagon) and leading businesses striving to implement sustainable building practices in their projects.
