Stoneham Police are actively searching for a man involved in a bank robbery yesterday morning on Main Street.
At approximately 10:20 a.m. on Monday, police responded to a report of a robbery at the Bank of America on 323 Main St. Video surveillance shows the suspect give a female bank teller a handwritten note demanding money. The man then fled on foot with an unknown amount of cash.
The suspect is described as a white male in his 40s, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a thin build, gray facial hair, thin wire rimmed glasses, wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and no gloves or mask.
Stoneham Police have asked that anyone with information about the suspect call them at 781-438-1215 ext. 3133 or the FBI at 617-742-5533, promising a cash reward to anyone who provides information leading to an arrest.
