The median sale price for both single-family homes and condominiums increased in October as inventory levels dwindle across Massachusetts, according to a new report from The Warren Group, publisher of Banker & Tradesman.
The number of single-family homes put under agreement in the month of October rose 9 percent over the last year, while condominium pending sales were down 5 percent over last year, according to the Massachusetts Association of Realtors.
January was another good month for single-family and condominium sales in the Bay State, according to the most recent report from The Warren Group, publisher of Banker & Tradesman.
This November, there were 5,061 single-family homes sold in Massachusetts, compared with 4,015 in November of last year, a 26.0 percent increase. This marks the highest November sales amount since 1998 and the second highest in November on record.
There were 5,588 single-family homes sold in Massachusetts in September, compared to 5,436 in September 2015, according to a report from The Warren Group, publisher of Banker & Tradesman. That represents a 2.8 percent increase and the largest amount of sales September since 2005. It is the fifth straight month with at least 5,000 homes sold.
