tdbank_spot2The TD Charitable Foundation will donate $20,000 to the American Red Cross of Central and Western Massachusetts in order to aid victims of last week’s tornadoes.

TD Bank’s small business managers are also reaching out to affected small businesses and offering assistance and long-term support to the Springfield community, according to a statement. Along with payment deferments for up to three months for current borrowing customers, TD Bank will also offer special financing options to small businesses in the affected areas. This includes 48-hour turnarounds on variable-rate term loans and lines of credit at low interest rates for the first three months and no closing costs or processing fees.

"With a natural disaster of this magnitude, the need for financial aid is immeasurable," said Mark Crandall, regional president, TD Bank. "And when it happens in your back yard, to your community, you want to do all you can to help provide much needed assistance to the victims of the overwhelming catastrophe. We want the community to know we are there for them during this time."
