TD Bank announced it is enabling all customers and non-customers in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Maine and Connecticut to donate to The One Fund Boston by using the bank’s Penny Arcade coin counting machine free of charge.
"As victims, their families and the city of Boston deal with this horrific tragedy, customers throughout New England asked how they can help," said Mark Crandall, regional president, TD Bank, in a statement. "By donating their coins, people of all ages can support victims of the bombings on their road to recovery."
Now through May 12, TD Bank customers can use the bank’s Penny Arcade coin counting machines and donate their coins to the "Coins for Caring" campaign. Customers near TD Bank stores that do not have a Penny Arcade or are in other geographic locations can make cash donations for The One Fund Boston at their nearest store.
In addition to the "Coins for Caring" campaign, TD Bank Group donated $50,000 to the One Fund Boston last week.
