John (JR) Reilly has been named vice president corporate finance and treasurer at Worcester-based The Hanover Insurance Group.

Reilly will be responsible for the company’s treasury operations, investor relations, and corporate financial planning and analysis.
 
He is taking over responsibilities from Bob Myron, who has taken on broader responsibilities in the company’s finance organization. Reilly will report to Myron in his new role.

Reilly comes to The Hanover from The Hartford Financial Services Group, where he served in senior-level positions in investor relations, finance and business development. 

"JR is an experienced financial professional with outstanding analytical skills and technical knowledge," said Gene Bullis, chief financial officer of The Hanover. "We are pleased to have him join our team, and we look forward to the many ways he will help us to meet our longterm growth objectives."
