The Renfrew Center, a residential treatment center for eating disorders, has leased 6,000 square feet on the Boston and Brookline border to open its first facility in Massachusetts.
Frank Nelson and Josh Goldman of Cushman & Wakefield represented the center in leasing the space at 870R Commonwealth Ave. Richard McKinnon, director of brokerage services at the Quincy-based Grossman Cos., represented the Landlord, 860/870-872 Commonwealth Ave. Trust. The lease brings the landmark property to 100 percent occupancy.
Grossman repositioned the space to accommodate the health care tenant. Improvements include a modern façade with a private entry, new lobby and windows, additional indoor garage parking spaces and a ramp for handicapped access. The Commonwealth Ave. location is Renfrew’s 14th site in the United States.
