Eric D. Boecher has been named chief financial officer at The Village Bank. He will relocate from Connecticut to the greater Newton area for the position.

Boecher has more than 20 years of professional experience, including positions with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Division of Banks and with the U.S. Treasury – Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) in Boston. He most recently worked at Savers Bank in Southbridge as CFO of operations. 

In his community, Boecher has served as a Little League and soccer coach, and as a member of the Advisory Committee for Capital Expenditures to the town’s Board of Finance.
