44 BromfieldThibeault Development has purchased 44 Bromfield St. in Boston for $10.8 million.

Everett-based Thibeault submitted the high bid for the 42,053-square-foot Beaux Arts-style office and retail building located at Downtown Crossing.

Thibeault Development’s recent acquisitions include the Liberty Tree Building at 630 Washington St., the former St. Anthony’s Rectory at 103 Arch St. and the FiDi Lofts at 153-155 Milk St., all in Boston. Principal William Thibeault also recently closed on the decommissioned Somerset Station power plant after submitting the high bid of $3.95 million at a foreclosure auction in October.

Built in 1913, the Bromfield Street building is 100 percent leased to the Massachusetts Committee for Public Counsel Services and Carney, Sandoe and Assoc. Approximately 1,200 square feet of first-floor retail space is available.
