Traggorth Cos. LLC To Redevelop Vacant Haverhill Factory

37 Washington Street 37 Washington St. LLC, a subsidiary of real estate firm Traggorth Cos. LLC, has received a $90,000 predevelopment loan from MassDevelopment to help the company redevelop a vacant Haverhill property.

The property at 37 Washington St. in Haverhill was originally a shoe factory built in the late 1800s. The 20,000-square-foot building has been vacant for 50 years.

Traggorth Cos. LLC plans to redevelop the building into a mixed-use facility with 18 housing units, eight full-time retail jobs and 27 construction jobs. Predevelopment funding will finance architectural and engineering costs.

Traggorth Cos. LLC acquired the property in September 2013 after seeing the building during a Department of Housing and Community Development and MassDevelopment Merrimack Valley housing tour that took place in April 2013.
