Boston-based brewery Trillium Brewing Co. has opened a second location in Canton.
The brewery has leased 16,000 square feet at 110 Shawmut Road and plans to make the larger location its primary production hub.
"We are thrilled to be launching the next phase of Trillium’s operations with our expanded footprint in Canton," Trillium Brewing Co-founder Jean-Claude Tetreault said in a statement.
The brewery, founded in 2013 by husband and wife Jean-Claude and Esther Tetreault, will continue operating its first location at 369 Congress St. in Boston’s Fort Point neighborhood.
"No we are not (ever) leaving Fort Point!" Esther Tetreault wrote on the company’s website. "We plan to keep our tiny little store and production facility in Boston. We’ll just finally be able to loosen the reins on production volume and operate more like a pilot brewery, continuing to offer new styles that are available until they run out."
Trillium currently has eight entries on BeerAdvocate.com’s "Top 250 Beers" list, and the brewery also was named among the 2014 "Top 100 Brewers in the World" by RateBeer.com.
Transwestern | RBJ’s Senior Vice Presidents Brian Cohen and Rob Byrne represented Trillium in the Canton lease. Catherine Minnerly and Ovar Osvold of NAI Hunneman represented 110 Shawmut Road’s owner, MFGCP 1 LLC, an affiliate of Grander Capital Partners.
