A Japanese auto parts manufacturer has announced an expansion project in Chicopee.
U.S. Tsubaki, which specializes in producing power transmissions, plans to add 100,000 square feet to its 265,000 square-foot Westover Air Industrial Park facility.
The expansion, at 106 Lonczak St., will cost $12 million, and include administrative offices, factory floor space and research and development labs, creating up to 35 new jobs.
State and local tax incentives of more than $750,000 have been approved for the project.
