Whitinsville-based Unibank has opened a new branch in North Grafton.
During the opening ceremony for the bank, located at 89 Worcester St., UniBank President and CEO James Paulhus announced that the bank will give $50,000 to organizations throughout Grafton in 2013. It will also partner with the Grafton Public Library to host a story hour for children in the bank’s community room beginning on June 3 while the library undergoes renovations.
Until the end of June, the ATM at the new location will randomly give out $50 and $100 bills in place of the usual $20 bills. There will also be raffles for $2,500 home entertainment system and a $1,500 toward a home improvement project.
Other specials include premium rates on home equity lines of credit, CD and eChecking specials and Fast Track Loans for businesses.
"UniBank is a community bank that has been serving the region for more than 140 years," Paulhus said in a statement. "We are excited to open this branch, and look forward to serving the Grafton community."
