United Bank Opens Chicopee Branch

West Springfield’s United Financial Bancorp Inc., parent company of United Bank, recently opened an office in Chicopee – bringing the bank’s total number of branches to 16.

Located at 445 Montgomery St., next to exit 5 off the Massachusetts Turnpike, the new Chicopee office will be led by Maureen Buxton.

Buxton has more than 17 years of banking experience, and has served as the personal banker in United’s Holyoke branch, along with Phyllis Smigiel, since 2003.

"This new Chicopee location is a natural expansion of our branch footprint," said Richard B. Collins, United Bank president and CEO. "We are pleased to be able to provide area residents and businesses with the United brand of banking, as well as the personal attention of a veteran personal banker with strong Chicopee ties."
