West Springfield’s United Bank will build a new branch office at its current Sixteen Acres location.

The new branch will be more than double the size of the present office, located at 1930 Wilbraham Road, and will feature additional parking facilities, a walk-up and drive-up ATM and an addition of conference rooms. The original office opened in 1970.

The office will remain open during the construction of a new building on the property. Work on the new office has already begun, and is expected to be completed by fall.
