James B. Thomson has worked at nearly every major commercial real estate brokerage in Greater Boston. His latest move is with NAI Hunneman, where he will serve as an executive vice president.

Prior to joining NAI Hunneman, Thomson served as executive vice president at Newmark Knight Frank and executive director at Cushman & Wakefield of Massachusetts. Thomson also served as senior vice president at Grubb & Ellis of Boston, where he was ranked as one of the top 10 brokers in the country for seven consecutive years, according to a statement.

"Jim brings with him a strong reputation in the areas of investment sales, raising equity, tenant representation and owner representation," said Stuart Pratt, president of NAI Hunneman and the Hunneman Cos. "He has come full circle having begun his career in real estate as a suburban leasing broker with Hunneman Real Estate Corp. (now NAI Hunneman). "He now returns to NAI Hunneman as the most successful investment sales and leasing broker at his three previous firms. Jim will use his strengths to expand our institutional investment sales group and help support the suburban leasing team."

Prior to working for Boston’s top brokerage firms, Thomson also served as president of the Palladins Co., a firm he started and built to a six person staff that he merged into Grubb & Ellis.
