A 12,350-square-foot office property at 545 Salem St. in Wakefield has been sold to a local accounting firm for $2 million.

NAI Hunneman’s Michael McCarthy, assistant vice president, and David Gilkie, senior vice president, represented the buyer, Wakefield-based accounting firm Costantino Richards Rizzo LLP. Bill Clark of The Clark Co. represented the seller, Stebbins Duffy, in the transaction.

“Our client was looking to acquire a facility which could also house their operations and wished to stay in Wakefield. We were successfully able to uncover an off market opportunity for our client,” said McCarthy. “The newly-acquired building not only provides an ideal office space and plenty of room to grow in the future for our client, but also serves as a great investment vehicle. We’re very pleased to have completed this transaction.”

Costantino Richards Rizzo will relocate their operations to 545 Salem St. from 601 Edgewater Dr. in Wakefield.

In a game of musical chairs triggered by the sale, the NAI Hunneman team also brokered a 5,317-square-foot new lease to the seller at 10 Technology Drive in Peabody. NAI Hunneman, which acts as the exclusive leasing agent for the Peabody property, represented the landlord. Bill Clark represented Stebbins Duffy.
