Bay Colony Corporate Center in Waltham has received the LEED Silver designation from the U.S. Green Building Council for its entire four-building campus.
The center it is one of only a few commercial real estate campuses nationwide that has achieved LEED for existing building status for an entire campus, according to a statement. The property consists of three 4-story buildings and one 3-story building totaling 980,000 square feet situated on 58 acres.
"This is a major accomplishment that makes a premier, award-winning property even more attractive to our current and prospective tenants," said Brian Barriero, portfolio manager of Broadway Real Estate Services. "UGL Unicco guided us through the process by helping us translate LEED requirements into action. We relied on their expertise and benefited from their knowledge of LEED procedures, as well as their cleaning and operations expertise."
