Boston’s Wentworth Institute of Technology has received approval to offer a master of science in construction management (MSCM) in the fall.

The degree program is designed to educate construction professionals in advanced management principles and in construction management (CM) issues, topics and practices. Graduates of the program will be prepared to assume advanced managerial and leadership positions in construction-related careers, according to a statement.

The program will examines common general management techniques, leveraging components and resources from Wentworth’s department of humanities, social sciences, and management. It will also explore advanced CM issues specific to the built environment and will utilize a combination of technologies and team instruction by leading industry professionals and academics.
