North Shore construction company Westchester Modular Homes of Greater Boston (WMHGB) has built a new modular home and showroom at 1288-1294 Broadway in Saugus.
The showroom is a 2,900-square-foot Colonial home visible from Route 1. It sits on a previously vacant, one-acre lot and was built over the course of one night, according to a statement. WMHGB will spend the next eight weeks completing the interior work on the showroom and office center.
The home model, known as "The Bostonian," will be Energy-Star certified. It will also have vinyl shingle siding giving it the authentic, traditional New England look, according to a statement.
"We know that seeing is believing," said Scott Jones, president and CEO of WMHGB. "This is a very different experience than looking through a catalog. People will be able to walk through an actual modular home and see the superior construction and make an informed choice."
