Boston’s State Street Corp. announced the election of Thomas J. Wilson, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Allstate Corporation, to its board of directors.

Wilson joined Allstate in 1995 and served in various roles prior to becoming president and CEO in 2007. Prior to Allstate, Wilson held senior positions at Sears, Roebuck & Co. and Dean Witter Reynolds Inc., with responsibility for strategy as well as mergers and acquisitions.
He received his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan.
