Robert M. WilsonCambridge Savings Bank CEO Robert M. Wilson will be given a community leadership award from Boston’s Franciscan Hospital for Children at their annual Community Leadership Award Dinner on Sept. 27.

The award is given to individuals for their support and dedication to the hospital and its patients over the years, according to a statement. Wilson is being recognized for his "strong commitment" to the community and for his long-term involvement with the hospital.

"Bob is an exemplary role model thanks to his community ties as well as his support of the hospital," said Franciscan Hospital Chief Development Officer Steven Snyder. "He has dedicated his professional life to serving the public and we’re very pleased to have him as part of the Franciscan family."

Past award recipients include Red Sox pitcher Tim Wakefield, New Balance Foundation Chairwoman Anne Davis and Massachusetts State Auditor Joe DeNucci.
