Salem-based Winter Street Architects (WSA) will provide architecture, design and planning services for Sun Microsystems’ new datacenter strategy, design and build-out services.    

Sun’s service offerings help customers determine whether to optimize their current datacenters or build new ones, and are based on the same datacenter design methodologies and best practices Sun used in building its own datacenters. The services aim to maximize space utilization, minimize operating costs and accommodate future growth, all critical in today’s economy.

In the past year, Winter Street Architects has supported Sun on more than a dozen modular, green datacenter and high performance computer center projects throughout North America, AsiaPAC, the Middle East and Europe. 

AHA Consulting Engineers (AHA), located in Boston, Atlanta and Washington D.C., is supporting Winter Street Architects with mechanical and electrical work, as well as plumbing.

Winter Street Architects successfully completed Sun’s Burlington datacenter renovation with AHA Consulting in June 2007
