Winthrop Realty Trust, which owns and manages commercial real estate across the country, has netted $30.2 million from a recent public stock offering.

The Boston-based company sold 2.75 million shares at a price of $11.45 per share.

Stifel, Nicolaus & Co. and JMP Securities LLC acted as joint book runners for the offering.

Winthrop has been busy in the last few months. The company entered an agreement to acquire four troubled apartment complexes this summer. Winthrop would pay roughly $250 million to buy apartments in Texas, Connecticut and California as part of a larger deal involving multiple investors.
