The design of the proposed billion-dollar gambling resort in Foxborough is based on casino developer Steve Wynn’s own Idaho home.
The Las Vegas casino master released renderings of his $1 billion casino resort this morning in an effort to show the community, much of which opposes the casino, how the complex would appear in the woods near Gillette Stadium.
The Foxborough proposal would be connected to the Patriot Place shopping mall by a footbridge. The casino would house retail stores, a spa, slot machines and other gambling opportunities, and a parking garage for 5,000 cars. According to reports, Wynn has added a year-round public skating rink to the proposal.
Wynn said he estimates the town reaping $10 to $15 million every year in tax revenues resulting from the project, to be named Wynn Foxborough.
