Carl J. Zack has been named executive director of the Shillman House in Framingham, the sixth and newest property for the Jewish Community Housing for the Elderly (JCHE).
Zack has more than 35 years of experience serving in leadership positions in healthcare and social service agencies, according to a statement. Zack most recently served as president of the Hebrew Rehabilitation Center in Roslindale.
In his new role, Zack will be responsible for the overall operation of a building that has 150-units of independent housing for seniors of mixed-income levels. He will be responsible for ensuring that Shillman House has appropriate resident services and will forge strategic relationships with community organizations.
"I have had the pleasure of working with Carl in other settings," said Amy Schectman, JCHE president and CEO. "I know first-hand that he will offer JCHE an impressive depth of expertise."
Shillman House is scheduled to open in June. Zack will assume his position on April 11.
