New Boston Ventures is set to begin construction of The Boulevard, a 31-unit condo development at the former site of the Littlest Bar and Times restaurant at 110 Broad St. in Boston.

The 12-story, 120-foot-tall building designed by Finegold Alexander Architects will contain 36 condominiums, 3,500 square feet of commercial space and 48 underground parking spaces in an automated garage system.

Preconstruction sales have begun with Campion & Co. of Boston selected as the sales and marketing agent.

The historic Bulfinch warehouse will be restored and renovated as the new residential lobby and cafe with indoor and outdoor seating.

“As the designers and restoration specialists on some of Boston’s most intricate and historic projects – including the Statehouse renovation, The Hatch Shell and Old City Hall – we are proud to be able to retain the Bulfinch warehouse exterior while creating a modern, sleek residential development on Boston’s Greenway,” said Jim Alexander, principal, Finegold Alexander Architects, in a statement.

Completion is expected in 2017.
