A former acute care hospital property in Brighton could be redeveloped with 330 condos and apartments under plans submitted by The Davis Cos.

The Boston-based developer is seeking approvals for a 340,000-square-foot residential building ranging from six to 17 stories at 1515 Commonwealth Ave. containing 175 apartments and 155 condos. The project would include 70 surface parking spaces and another 200 spaces in a covered ground floor and second-floor garage on the western side of the residential building, using an automated stacker system.

The condo component would be located in the tower section of the building, which would connect to the low-rise building containing apartments.

The plans by RODE Architects and OJB Landscape Architecture would retain nearly an acre of green space fronting on the Commonwealth Avenue carriage road.

The Davis Cos. acquired the 2.1-acre site in January for $15.75 million from CuraHealth and Nautic Partners.
