The Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Development Corp. has filed plans with the city of Boston for a 68-unit project just north of Franklin Park in the city’s Dorchester neighborhood.

The project includes 59 affordable apartments and two affordable condominium buildings with six and three units, respectively.

The nonprofit JPNDC is seeking to demolish a large, derelict, single-story former car dealership at 24 Cheney St. to make way for its project.

The condo buildings will be 3 stories tall and 8,226 square feet and 6,177 square feet. The main building will be 4 stories tall, with 62,000 square feet of supportive rental housing for seniors. Peabody Properties will manage the building once it’s completed.

The project will go through Boston’s Article 80 large project review process.
