Boston’s High Street Place food hall is set to begin offering visitors 20 food and beverage options beginning March 2 after the pandemic derailed its original opening timetable.

The 20,000-square-foot atrium connecting the office towers at 100 High St. and 160 Federal St. includes a retractable wall system that opens onto an 84-seat patio during the outdoor dining season.

Gensler and Groundswell Design Group partnered on the redesign of the 5-story atrium as a 400-seat venue including communal tables, banquettes and high tops arrayed below an LED entertainment screen and 2,366-square-foot green wall illuminated by 4,000 firefly lights.

Vendors include three new offerings by chef Tiffani Faison’s Big Heart Hospitality: pizza and grinder shop Tenderoni’s, seafood and raw bar Dive Bar and champagne-and-wine-bar Bubble Bath.

Operators also plan an extensive event calendar including book signings, panels and March Madness parties.

Building owners Rockpoint Group partnered with food hall operator CANAdev on the project, which was originally scheduled to open in fall 2020 but put on hold amid the onset of COVID-19.
