Robert LavoieRobert W. Lavoie was recently re-elected to his second term as chairman of the Merrimack Valley Planning Commission.

Lavoie is an attorney at Devine Millimet law firm in Andover. He has practiced in Andover for 30 years and with Devine Millimet’s Andover office since its opening there in 1996. 

He is a senior member of the firm’s corporate department, and has served on the commission for several years as the town of Amesbury Commissioner.

The Merrimack Valley Planning Commission (MVPC) is a public, nonprofit organization committed to assisting the Merrimack Valley’s communities in the planning areas of transportation, the environment, land use, economic development, and GIS mapping.

The commission serves 15 communities in the northeastern part of the state.

Communities of the MVPC region select one commissioner and one alternate to attend monthly public board meetings to discuss results of current projects, proposed new projects and MVPC monthly expenses.
